TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtorecordvideocontinuouslyoraccordingtoanactionrule:

RecordingList

RecordedvideosarelistedontheRecordings>Listpage.Thelistshowseachrecording’sstartdateandtime,durationandthe

eventthattriggeredtherecording.

Toplayordownloadarecording,followthesesteps:

1.GotoRecordings>List.

2.Usetheltertonarrowthelistofrecordings.EnterthedesiredltercriteriaandclickFilter.Someltersmaytake

alongtimetocomplete.

3.Selecttherecording.

4.ClickPlaytoplaytherecording,orclickDownloadtodownloadtherecording.

Multiplerecordingscanbedownloadedatthesametime.SelecttherecordingsandclickDownload.Thedownloadedleisaziple

containingaminimumofthreeles,ofwhichtheMatroska(mkv)lesaretheactualrecordings.Therecordingsaretime-stamped

withthedateandtimetheyweredownloaded(thatis,notthedatetherecordingsweremade).

ToplayrecordingsinWindowsMediaPlayer,AXISMatroskaFileSplittermustbeinstalled.AXISMatroskaFileSplitter

canbedownloadedfromwww.axis.com/techsup/software

Fordetailedrecordingandvideoinformation,selectarecordingandclickProperties.

Toremovearecording,selecttherecordingandclickRemove.

ContinuousRecording

TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtocontinuouslysavevideotoastoragedevice.SeeStorageonpage44formoreinformation

aboutstoragedevices.Topreventthediskfrombecomingfull,itisrecommendedtocongurethedisktoautomaticallyremoveold

recordings.Ifanewstreamproleisselectedwhilearecordingisongoing,therecordingwillbestoppedandsavedintherecording

listandanewrecordingwiththenewstreamprolewillstart.Allpreviouscontinuousrecordingswillremainintherecordinglist

untiltheyareremovedmanuallyorthroughautomaticremovalofoldrecordings.

Tostartacontinuousrecording,followthesesteps:

1.GotoRecordings>Continuous.

2.SelectEnabled.

3.SelectthetypeofstoragedevicefromtheStoragelist.

4.SelectaStreamproletouseforcontinuousrecordings.

5.ClickSavetosaveandstarttherecording.
